Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to PetImage at petimage.app. PetImage is an AI-powered service that turns pet photos into stylized digital portraits using curated templates. By accessing or using PetImage, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use PetImage on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Some features require an account and verified email address. You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify PetImage Support if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Your Photos and Generated Portraits

• You retain the rights you hold in photos and other content you upload.
• You must own the uploaded content or have all permissions needed to use it. PetImage is intended for pet photos; do not upload photos of people for face manipulation or impersonation.
• You grant PetImage and its service providers a limited license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and process your uploads only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and to generate the portraits you request.
• Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you may download and use your generated portraits for lawful personal or commercial purposes. AI output may not be unique, and PetImage cannot guarantee that an output is eligible for intellectual-property protection or does not resemble other works.

Acceptable Use and Content Safety

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms. In particular, you may not use PetImage to create or distribute sexual, pornographic, NSFW, sexually suggestive, violent, illegal, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or abusive content. Face-swap, deepfake, identity impersonation, and human face-manipulation uses are prohibited.

PetImage may use automated screening, including prompt moderation supplied by our payment and compliance providers, as well as manual review when reasonably necessary. We may reject a request, remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, law, or platform safety requirements have been violated.

PetImage Intellectual Property

PetImage owns or licenses the service software, interface, branding, template system, written content, and other materials we provide. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, disrupt, scrape at unreasonable volume, bypass security or payment controls, or use PetImage in a way that harms the service or other users.

AI Service Limitations

AI-generated results can vary and may contain mistakes, artifacts, or unexpected similarities. A preview, example, or template image does not guarantee an identical result. You are responsible for reviewing an output before publishing or relying on it. PetImage does not provide legal advice about ownership, publicity rights, trademarks, or copyright.

Credits, Memberships, and Expiration

• Each generation consumes the number of credits shown in the product interface.
• One-time credit collections do not expire unless the checkout page clearly states otherwise.
• Memberships grant the displayed number of credits each billing month. Each monthly grant expires 60 days after it is issued, including after cancellation, unless a different validity period is clearly shown before purchase.
• Promotional or free credits may have a shorter validity period displayed when granted.
• Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be resold.

Credits are deducted only through the generation workflow. If a generation fails for a verified technical reason, PetImage may restore the affected credits.

Pricing, Payments, and Automatic Renewal

• Prices, included credits, billing frequency, and applicable taxes are shown before checkout. Prices are generally listed in USD unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Where identified at checkout, Creem acts as the merchant of record and handles payment processing, tax collection, receipts, and related buyer payment services.
• Access is granted only after PetImage confirms that the order is paid and the applicable credits have been added to the account.
• Monthly memberships renew automatically at the displayed price until canceled. You authorize the payment provider to charge the saved payment method for each renewal and applicable taxes.
• You can manage or cancel a membership from Settings → Billing. A scheduled cancellation stops future renewals and normally remains active through the end of the paid billing period.
• We may change prices for future billing periods after giving notice required by applicable law. A price change does not alter completed one-time purchases.

Refunds and Billing Problems

Because credits and generated digital content can be delivered immediately, completed purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you were charged twice, did not receive purchased credits, or experienced a verified technical failure, contact PetImage Support with the order details. Depending on the circumstances, we may restore credits, correct the charge, or arrange an appropriate refund through the payment provider.

Contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law or the payment provider's buyer terms.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and share information, including uploaded pet photos, account data, usage records, and payment-related records.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using PetImage at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create security or payment risk, abuse the service, or if required by law or a service provider. Where practical, we will provide notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may use different infrastructure or AI providers over time. We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or permanent availability of a particular template or model.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, PetImage is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, PetImage will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the service. PetImage's aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid to PetImage for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify PetImage against third-party claims arising from content you upload, your unlawful use of the service, or your material violation of these Terms or another person's rights.

Applicable Law

Applicable law governs these Terms. Mandatory consumer protections in your country or region remain unaffected. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will post the revised version and update the date above. If a change materially affects active memberships, we will provide any notice required by law. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
